Czech Republic - Disagreements on New Anti-Discrimination Directive Proposal
NGO position on the new Anti-Discrimination Directive Proposal in Czech Republic drastically differs from the position of the government. Appeal to the Presidents of Russia and Georgia
The Fifth International Conference of journalists, Gender and Media, War and Peace: Challenges and Overcoming was held in Tbilisi on Dec. 16-20. The conference adopted the Appeal to the presidents of Russia and Georgia demanding from them direct negotiations which is open for signing.
Emergency Protests on Gaza
Israeli strikes continue on Gaza throughout Saturday night and into Sunday afternoon, 279 now dead and more than 900 injured. The death toll of the attacks rose to 279, with 900 injured 180 seriously so. Activists prepare protests around the world on Monday 29 December, 4.00pm – 6.00pm.

The "Independent media 9" program of the Polish-Czech-Slovak Solidarity Foundation is addressed to journalists and editors from newspapers and magazines, radio and television stations, internet portals and information agencies in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. The program is financed by the National Endowment for Democracy (USA).
NEWW Director Invited to Participate in US Embassy Commemoration of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence
November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and also marks the beginning of the UN-sponsored “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.” U.S. Embassy Warsaw is actively participating in the “16 Days of Activism” by raising awareness of the problem through a series of profiles of individuals and institutions actively working against gender-based violence in Poland.
